NiakGPT is a local-first browser extension that adds productivity, organization and control on top of the official ChatGPT interface.
The project
NiakGPT is built for intensive usage: many Projects, long conversations, frequent navigation and work that needs to remain easy to resume. The extension works directly on top of the ChatGPT interface, with no additional NiakGPT account.
The philosophy is deliberately restrained: prioritize the user, performance and continuity instead of multiplying invisible automations.

The core features require neither a NiakGPT server, analytics nor an additional account. Cache, preferences and governance state stay in the browser, with permissions limited to what the extension actually needs.
